The hilarious debacle that was the BT Openreach - Beaconsfield exchange e-side cable change over. c. Oct. 2008.

info: I was on site 8:45 a.m.-6:45 a.m. 22hrs / pete cairnie & paul farmer 3:45 p.m.-7:00 a.m. 15 hrs. / steve. cox & andy c. 8 a.m.-3:00 a.m. 19 hrs. / john wilmore 8 a.m.-3:00 p.m. 7 hrs. / k.woodward 11:30 a.m - 3:45 p.m. 4+ hrs. / steve. wingrove 10:45 a.m. - 12:00 & 11:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. 2 hrs. / ivan major 10:30 - 10:45 a.m. 15 min.

So if there is anybody who knows exactly how that 1400 pr. cable c/o was conducted, I do. :-) 

n.b. I do not know whether john wilmore - the other manhole chamber top man/safety man - was involved in the formal disciplinary case that was carried out by a BT line manager following the hilarious debacle of this particular BT customer stitch up, but I know that the BT operative who was on site for the longest period of time and saw/observed exactly how that 'text book' cable c/o was worked was not invited (surprise surprise) to give evidence to that cover-up disciplinary investigation, not invited to give my version of what happened to BTs disciplinary investigation manager.  Hmmm... :)))  From what I later understood to be the case peter cairnie, paul farmer (p.farmer to me c. Dec 2008 ...my wife's said an official looking letter has come from BT...(sic) steve cox and andy c. were disciplined. fma ken woodward and line manager steve wingrove were not. But I cannot say for certain re: woodward & wingrove.

What I can say for certain is that pete cairnie and paul farmer were allegedly ...left totally fucking speechless (sic) ...could not believe what they were being told (sic) when at discipline investigation they were informed of their fma's i.e. ken woodward's - evidence that woodward had given to the BT investigating manager (carrying out the discipline case) which allegedly went along the lines of: ...I did not do any of the c/o. I just opened the joint and set up the old and new cables for pete and paul. I i.e. woodward, had no hand in the c/o fuck up which ensued. Allegedly ! :-(  (more later..! :-) 

Anyway  ...for my own amusement and the reader's enlightenment and at no extra cost JARVIS PRODUCTIONS presents: The totally ludicrous failure - and wholly preventable farce - that is the infamous Beaconsfield ATE exchange-side cable c/o debacle that was played out at the expense of bill paying customers (i.e. 1400 BT customers) by eight BT operatives: steve cox & andy cavnere: Woodstock Rd. TEC / pete cairnie, paul farmer, john wilmore & Colin Jarvis:(nick)Griffin Ln. Aylesbury TEC / steve wingrove & ken woodward - line manager and manager's assistant:(nick)Griffin Ln. Aylesbury TEC.

I received an end of the day call on a Tuesday from a joe cochraine - a 'bright spark' (i.e. a very sad, slow, pitiful individual - one of many such in BTs workplace!) work allocator for all external operatives on s. wingrove's group. ...Colin tomorrow at Beaconsfield exchange, safety man e-side c/o a cable's gone down. (sic) ...Will do mate (...you moronic cretin).

I arrived at the exchange and (I'm sorry but) I had to laugh... it was funny as fuck.

Coxy, his mate andy c. and john wilmore were standing over the open manhole outside the exchange chatting away without, seemingly, a care in the world. Greetings were exchanged then I asked coxy: ...Why aren't you down the hole setting up, what's the hold up? coxy explained that yes the new cable was in situ. - ken woodward and co. had pulled in a 110 metres of 1400 pr cable last night - but he didn't have a generator or air blower or a pump(water) on site. coxy said that neither he nor andy had brought any of that mandatory safety equipment with them and john w. was refusing to be their safety man if they went down the hole to work without the genny and blower operating. wilmore and andy c. nodded in agreement with coxy's summary as to the hold up. I asked coxy why he didn't have the kit required to work down a manhole with them? coxy explanation was that they'de both come in transits and had no room for genny etc. I said to him  ...that is so fucking funny coxy... does wingrove know yet? coxy said that his fma ivan major was bringing a genny and blower from Oxford and should be here 'soon' and yes wingrove probably did know by now. john wilmore repeated that he won't be their safety man if coxy or andy go down the hole to work - they could go down 'quick' to ID the old cable but not to open joints or set up the new etc. 

I said ...righty-ho john I agree with you. I then sat down lent against the exchange wall, rolled a ciggy and had a good old natter with my 'BT colleagues' as we waited for coxy's fma ivan major (oh and waited for line manager s.wingrove) to turn up on site.

After 10:30 ivan major arrives, unloads the genny etc. whilst grinning and chatting to coxy and his mate about traveling to a manhole c/o without the mandatory safety kit? I took no notice of coxy's waffling in reply to major, I was busy smiling at steve wingrove's arrival as he turned into the exchange car park. I said ...here's steve now boys... and then waited with eager anticipation to hear what wingrove would have to say to coxy and co.

I wasn't disappointed + the fact that the cable breakdown situation was more desperate and farcical than I had realised.

So, coxy ivan and andy are 'busying themselves' unloading and setting up the genny etc. when wingrove walks round the corner after parking up. No ...good morning, no ...how're things going, none of that small talk. wingrove ignores the rest of us and looks straight at coxy and says ...why the fuck didn't you bring a genny and blower?  Before coxy could start waffling, wingrove continued ...it's gone half ten and you haven't started, why? what you've been doing? Before coxy could reply wingrove speaks to ivan major ...how come they came out with no kit? ivan major said he didn't know why. coxy replies ...we've ID'ed the old cable steve and we've ...blah blah blah. wingrove ripped into coxy some more and then walked back to the car park closely followed by yours truly. I was pretending to go to my van. ...How's it going then steve... I says. Not good Colin, they're screaming about this breakdown it's a 1400 pr. they want it back on by fucking yesterday, they're chasing me arse for it. Can you stay on tonight? An alarm bell went off in my head on being asked that. Is this man seeking to have a huge fuck-off 1400 pr. e-side cable changed over in one hit, in one go? Yeah steve I'll stay, going into a night shift is it? Yeah, ken's got pete and paul coming back from their course to do the other end.

Oh dear me. A very experienced and knowledgeable line manager is anticipating achieving a 1400 pr. c/o completion in one single hit and from the sounds of it under pressure to get the repair completed priority. He's, presumably, assured the great and the good to whom he is accountable, that this breakdown - as a result of the low pressure compressed air supply to the exchange-side cable being turned off - will be sorted in quick time and BTs 1400 Beaconsfield customers would all be as happy as larry by this time tomorrow. Oh dear oh dear. (p.s. from what I gathered later, it was into December before the majority of those crossed residential and business telephone lines were rectified! :-0 PTOs, CSTs in their numbers from all patches flooded that exchange area when the shit hit the fan, apparently :-(   (got to laugh in't ya )

Anyway, after dropping off the genny and blower i.major beats a hasty retreat, coxy and his mate disappear down the hole to begin working (at long last :), their top man john w. me and wingrove watching them. wingrove saying that his fma ken woodward is coming to begin the other end of the c/o and shouldn't be too long and that pete cairnie and paul farmer are going to take over from him this afternoon, and I'm the top man for the other manhole (located approx 110 mtrs adjacent to the roundabout junction on Beaconfield high street.)

Sure enough about 11:30 woodard arrives and parks up by the other point of intervention. I busy myself setting up the roadworks-guarding signs, gate guards, traffic cones, the genny, blower, pump etc. whilst wingrove and woodward have a natter and a cup of tea in his tonner. woodward descends into the other manhole about 11:45 and emerges 45 mins. later for some lunch. I watched him the whole time. steve wingrove left about then, thinking that all his troubles were over. How wrong can a man be!!! Talking about leaving, s. wingrove voluntarily left BTs employ just over twelve months later. :-(

Due to his long experience ken woodward can work very fast indeed (not always correctly and accurately, but fast - yes) when needs must... (and he does - more time to fuck off onto his allotment plots in work hours, which was - and may still be who knows? -  that fma's habitual practice over many years -  you scratch my back... a common manager/fma understanding within BTs external field operatives! p.s. Just so the accuracy and fact of my memory and recall is not doubted: re: ken woodward - I worked on a 1000+ pr. e-side breakdown c/o with woodward (+g.hill et al. Hemel Hempstead crew on a day&night shift over 3 days - on Bicester Rd. Aylesbury in March 2000. the PTO was s.muir, his first major fault find as a PTO. An Oxford jointer, george gallacher(soon to be PEU line manager ron ryall's(ReadingTEC) fma) was the joint opening bod on that breakdown which started a 5 p.m. on a Tuesday I think it was, and didn't complete until approx 2 a.m. sean muir wasn't taking any chances and gallacher ended up opening a huge paper lead joint. richard walter MK line bod brought out KFC grub for us at about ten-ish. I worked on the c/o day shift top-man and saw first hand how quick woodward can operate on twisted-joint c/o etc. ) ...so by the time woodward climbed out the manhole he had carried out the following: removed the huge lead joint from the old 1400 pr. set up the 3Ms jig & fixture, opened and prepped the new cable and laid in the first 25 pr. of the new cable into the mechanical jointing kit. Coxy and his mate were carrying out the same procedure in the exchange manhole and being just as quickly as woodward. They all wanted to complete the c/o as quickly as possible and go home. We all knew that it was going to be a long long night. A 1400 pr. cable is a big c/o by any measure.

After lunch coxy and his mate came over to woodward's "hole" to discuss the c/o progress. as in: how far into the c/o have you got ken, where are you up too? We've done such and such...etc. Then they went back to their hole and woodward climbed back into his hole to continue the 'text book' c/o. :-) or should that be :(

FYI -  When carrying out a exchange side cable c/o it is mandatory, strict mandatory practice, for all BT operative(s) to follow and carry out laid down procedure by: Firstly individually identify and verify every single telephone copper wire that is to be changed over from the old existing cable onto the new replacement cable with the BT operative(s) in the other remote point of intervention who are carrying out the same c/o procedure. 
This is achieved in a very simple way known as 'clocking' i.e. by the exchange side operative disconnecting/cutting the existing "old" un-serviceable telephone wire and attaching a small voltage to the wire - via a small volt meter i.e. the 'clock' - then that exchange-side operative, in this case steve cox and his mate andy c. informs/tells (using a simple BT comms. devise called a 'tapper') the operative(s) at the other remote POI, in this case ken woodward and then p. cairnie & p. farmer, exactly which single copper wire the identifying voltage is connected too, the other operative then verifies he/they have identified and are going to 'cut down' and c/o the same telephone wire by means of receiving and reading the exact same voltage reading on his 'clock' to that which is on the sender's 'clock' doing so by shorting the identified copper wire. In this way the customers existing telephone lines are correctly swapped over / changed over from the old unuseable pair of telephone lines within the old cable bundle  (in this case - 1400 pr. cable) onto the new usable pair on the replacement 1400 cable, accurately and precisely. If this very simple and straightforward procedure is not carried out the affected BT customers will be connected to another BT customer's subscription number. 

This mandatory, very simple procedure was as - a matter of simple fact - totally ignored, overridden and deliberately and intentionally bypassed by BT operatives fma ken woodward and his buddies pete cairnie, paul farmer, steve cox and andy c. That is the exact reason as to why in Oct./Nov. 2008 the majority of those 1400 Beaconsfield BT customers were for a considerable period of time - i.e. weeks - deprived of and were unable to receive the BT telecomm. service they pay to receive.

Post dating June 2006 I received a call from a good friend of mine who was then a BT employee...

FYI 1- In April 2006 my friend Jason Jennings had been forced to move from working at BT's TEC at (nick)Griffin Ln. HP19 8BP as a result of the intolerable retaliation and victimisation being inflicted on him by white BT employees. Jason was targeted and picked on because Jason had given verbal evidence on my behalf to FS1GC investigations conducted by BT & HRBP management. 

 

I had raised FS1GC against a BNP supporting "substantive C1 grade BT IT Gold User team leader supervisor" racist BT employee, raised a FS1GC against his gobshite bullying coward fellow C1 andy ruzicKA (aka the walking haemorrhoid - my name for him / the fat fuck and/or the fat man and/or the fat cunt - his C1 suck buddy's name for him when poozicKA was not around), raised a FS1GC against their line managers(HA!) bob reader, ron ryall martin northfield and raised a FS1GC against their level 2 line manager(HA!) garry lawrence.

 

...who had recently been transferred by BT management to a Bedfordshire workgroup managed by one dave west  - a BT line manager, apparently. BT's white management would rather transferr / move Jason, rather than address the workplace bullying, harassing retaliation and victimisation Jason had informed face to face BT's management and the CWU-CCC branch sec chic mcglynn - was being inflicted on him by white BT employees in BTs Aylesbury TEC.

 

Anyway Jason calls me and says: Colin, just been in a team talk with that twat dave west. We sat there and listened to that manager(HA!) saying in his team talk that and I quote: ...somebody has been keeping a diary for five years to get money out of BT...(sic). 

 

Jason went onto explain that d.west had been waffling on about BTs diversity bullshit and telling the BT operatives he is paid to manage ...to be careful about what you say etc. when he came out with his....someone's been keeping a diary for five years to get money out of BT...(sic) stupid, pig ignorant bullshit.

 

I said thanks for the info J. I'll be in touch. I then immediately called BT line manager Kevin Coll and informed Kevin of the details of the pig ignorant and stupid content of dave west's team talk which if believed by gullible and easily lead BT employees, would prove very damaging and very harmful to me on my RTW. 

Kevin responded as any normal, decent, honest, and professional line manager would. He asked me if I wanted him to do anything formally by for example sending a group email to employees in this BT patch etc. I said thank you, no. Only please ensure and inform verbally his BT line manager colleagues, including d. west, not to give such pig ignorant and stupid information to BT employees when they are talking to BT employees they manage out of the orifice they usually use to defaecate. Kevin said yes he would do his best to stop and prevent disinformation and wrong information being presented as facts by his line manager colleagues who are talking out of their arse holes. (which is not a part of a BT line manager's job, ordinarily)

To conclude: On 28/7/13 I made it abundantly clear and plain to ATVP at interview under caution, the fact I assert and I state in evidence that within the contents of the witness statement made to police by the complainant dominic martello distefano about which I am being questioned, including the ATVP printout exhibits taken from my social media websites, I am stating in evidence that dominic martello distefano has wilfully and knowingly made untrue and false statements to police from my knowledge of the facts, and that I will give evidence under oath to that effect if I am brought before a court by the CPS acting on behalf of the complainant.

(re: Jon Ivey's and dominic martello/distefano's FS1GC raised by those BT operatives c. 2003/4 as described within the main body of this post in relation to the actions, the conduct and the responses of BTs HR management when progressing Ivey's / martello-distefano's formal grievance. Jon Ivey and dominic martello/distefano both state this as occurring: They (BTs HR management) came out with all the bullshit they could muster, trying to softening us up, divert us, offering us all sorts of shit, bottles of wine, meals out etc. 

The relevance is: During my 2005/6/7 challenging and confronting of the cowardly hypocrites that are BTs line & HRBP management... It is, I'm afraid, the FACTS of the matter. It is what took place! I did not immediately make any reply to martello/distefano. All I could think was: ...fucking hell Colin, this is the mental power, this is all the mental capacity that you are relying upon in BTs workplace to help me fight to expose the truth about the likes of that racist halfwit cunce and his stupid BT suck buddies on BTs shop floor and in BT line management. A simple minded, deluded wanker who carries in his simple mind the crass stupidity delusional idea of BTs white management making a fucking video of me and him. God in heaven help me. 
When I did reply to poor old dominic I said: Yeah sure Dom no prob, you're me best mate...

So as to make myself absolutely clear I repeat the quote verbatim: ...pick me, pick me Colin please. (sic). Of course I could well be lying and making up, inventing that quoted telephone conversation between myself and martello distefano!!! Yeah, I know, that "possibility" does appear somewhat implausible to any averagely intelligent, impartial neutral observer, given the circumstances.

Still, if you go to the police and name a man as having acted unlawfully, acted criminally against you, you leave yourself open to the man you are making allegations against defending himself against you, providing factual information about you the complainant. And yes, doing so from a courtroom witness box under oath when necessary.

Now take that to the police and make another witness statement complaint and take your black person suck buddy with you. You know, the black person BT employee you have on numerous occasions c. 2006 stated to me is: a stupid cunt and an arsehole (sic). e.g. on your return from your Australia holiday in April/May 2006.  As in: Colin, I saw that arsehole B**** P***** (aka Uncle Tom Prick P****e aka John Coffey) in the  garage (BT (nick)Griffin Ln. At the recorded and transcribed police interview I willingly provided answers and responses to questions put to me concerning the contents of a (approx) three page witness statement made to ATVP by BT/CWU employee/member dominic distefano / martello as a result of that individual's formal complaint against me to police.

I was told that a dominic distefano / martello had made formal complaints against me to the police. I was asked to detail my historic and contemporaneous connection with the named individual.

Uninterrupted over some 10 mins. I gave those historical and contemporaneous details: 

I presented thus: From Jan. 2000 to Jan. 2006 I knew the complainant as nothing other than a friendly BT customer services - volume - operative whom I would say hello and have idle workplace related banter with on occasion.

I stated that in late 2003 a black BT volume operative workmate and personal friend of the complainant named Jon Ivey transferred onto the same Overhead & Polling (sic) work group on which I worked...

  

(and from Jon I learnt of the existing and ongoing FS1GC concerning a number of white racist BT employees and racist bullying and harassment within BT's Aylesbury yard that had been perpetrated against Jon Ivey and dominic martello/distefano about which Jon and martello/distefano had raised a FS1GC with BT & BT HRBP management. The outcome of which was told to me as being: formal grievance complaint not upheld, not proven, no case to answer. 

...but that although Jon Ivey and I became good friends as well as workmates, the nature of the contact between myself and the complainant d. martello/distefano did not alter until Jan. 2006.

I stated at police interview, and, I am willing to state in court under oath that that initial contact between myself and the complainant which took place in Jan. 2006 is as described here link: Blog post Titled c. Jan. / Feb. 2006.

I further stated the fact that from Jan. 2006 up until the end of Feb. 2007, when for his own, unfathomable, reasons the complainant - dominic martello/distefano - chose to no longer befriend me and ceased all contact with me after I had informed him that I had instigated an employment tribunal claim against BT. 

But that up until then myself and the complaint were friends on a workplace basis and on a social basis and were always in constant contact with one and other, visiting each others homes drinking and eating e.g. the Crows Nest public house when martello/distefano had picked me up from my Ruskin Way home. etc. etc.

e.g. c. Sept. 2006 - a Saturday morning - inside HMP The Mount. The below quotes stated by dominic martello/distefano when speaking to Jon Ivey and me on the one prison visit I and the complainant made together. ...me and Colin talk most days...(sic) other small e.g. are: ...gumba me and Colin this... me and Colin that... / ...gumba when me and Colin ... / ...gumba you should see what Colin's doing to  'em... ..fucking hell gumba it's so fucking funny gumba... / ...fucking remember what those fucking inglese did to us gumba? / ...me and Colin gumba what a team gumba man... (I could go on quoting martello-distefano, but I won't)  

At interview under caution I further stated to ATVP that throughout 2006 and into 2007 the complainant voluntarily and willing acted as my eyes and ears within BT and especially at BT's (nick)Griffin Ln. yard as he supported my attempt to hold accountable and responsible for their workplace conduct the racist, bullying, harassing lying white BT employees whom I had brought before the employer's formal grievance procedure.

Following my detailing the historic and contemporaneous connection between myself and the complainant dominic martello-disefano ATVP then put a series of questions to me - including a number of exhibit printouts from my social media websites - arising from the formal 3 page witness statement made to police by the complainant. Those police questions and my responses were as follows:

From the witness statement made to the police by dominic martello/distefano I was asked: The complainant states that within your social media websites you are presenting that he was your eyes and ears within BT when you were progressing formal grievances throughout 2006 whilst on sick leave from BT and that that is a lie and not true. What is your response?

I replied that the complainant is, as a matter of simple fact, lying to the police and that I will, in part, rely upon the following email proof as evidence of that fact: [n.b. the reader will be unable to comprehend some specifics / some references etc. - within the below email exchange (one of many such comms.) between myself and the complaint, for the simple reason that the reader is ignorant of the full context in respect of the content of the below email comms. I am, unfortunately, not able to retrieve all the emails which passed between myself and martello/distefano c.2006/7- and emails which passed between myself  and a black person BT employee Uncle Tom Prick c. 2010/11 - in which that UTP expressed extremely offensive opinions about dominic martello/distefano - because I have unfortunately lost access to my OUTLOOK email account somehow. The reader can, if you wish, make enquiries of the respective recipients for the emails in question cited by me which I am, for the present unable to retrieve from my old OUTLOOK EXPRESS accounts. It is the historic case that: White people in positions of workplace authority, in positions of workplace control and in positions of workplace decision making power within BT and the CWU could have chosen to say to bullying harassing white BT employees whom they employ and manage: Leave him alone, stop doing what you and your mates are doing to him. He is intolerant of you and your mates workplace racism, he is not afraid of you and your mates and he will always oppose, resist and confront your racist harassment, racist bullying and subsequent victimising of him. So leave him alone within BT's workplace.

Those same white people in positions of authority, in positions of control and in positions of power within BT and the CWU - those hypocrites - chose NOT to do so. Question: Why am I willing to have my liberty taken away and be handed a custodial term of imprisonment for publicly expressing honest comment?

The answer is straight forward and easyily understood even by the most stupid of BT/CWU white persons and/or that most stupid of BT/CWU Uncle Tom black person(s).
 
Answer: Because I have absolutely nothing I have need to, want to or desire to hide, conceal and/or be ashamed of. If other people have such a want, have such a desire, have such a need - be you white persons or black persons BT/CWU persons - please by all means go to the police and go to the CPS and they will help you, assist you, aid you in your desperate need, your desperate want, your desperate desire to silence and to gag a black man named Colin Jarvis.  
But ultimately it is NOT the police, NOT the CPS and NOT the law who are responsible for the type of person/ the sort of person / the kind of sad, sick, pig ignorant, thoroughly dishonest and cowardly person(s) that you and your BT/CWU suck buddies in fact and in reality are!  

You alone (individually and/or collectively) bare responsibility for your BT/CWU workplace deliberate, sick and cowardly conduct. Bare responsibility for your own words, actions and behaviours. You being the false lying BT/CWU workplace coward(s) you are. xxx

The elephant in the room that makes up a good part of BT Group's and the CWU's workplaces is the fact of the substantial Pinocchio noses poking out of the boat race of a great many BT/CWU white persons and the BT/CWU Uncle Tom Prick black person(s). The dirty, long Pinocchio snouts sticking out just above your facial sphincters which you all are compelled to spend the rest of your sad BT/CWU work lives pretending you cannot see jutting out of the front of the mush of your vacuous BT/CWU suck buddies. 

p.s. a word of caution: Please be mindful of passing on infections when near each other, as all of your BT/CWU white people and Uncle Tom black person(s) Pinocchio snouts are covered in your BT Friend(s) (sic) fecal matter due to where you and your BT/CWU suck buddies have habitually inserted your collective cowardly (and in some caes - your racist) Pinocchio snouts as you "make a living" ripping off and undermining the white people who own and run the FTSE 100 company that is BT Group. As you and your sad white suck buddies & your Uncle Tom black person "friends" undermine and render useless and pointless the purpose of the TU that is the  CWU.

One can only hope you all end up stabbing each other in the eye when you kiss each other good night after a long day spent collectively ripping off your employer i.e. the owner of the very large and decentralized company that is, by necessity, run on the basis of delegated trust, honesty and professional intergrity.

CWU CC&TV USR c.2009 to 2011.

In early March 2011. The minute I made my BT workplace voluntary TU health & safety role visible within BT's workplace I was immediately targeted by cowardly, sick, stupid morons for consistent and persistant harassment bullying and victimisation throughout the BT patch I covered as CWU CC&TV branch USR.

In late April 2011 I detailed to the CWU CC&TV branch and officials, to Openreach's CEO O. Garfield and other of her colleagues the exact nature of the bullying, harassing, victimising course of conduct to which I was being subjected by unidentified, anonymous BT employees and their BT mates. I purposely chose not to cite, not to detail the racist nature, the racist element of that bullying, harassing, victimising course of conduct to the senior BT/CWU white people to whom I was complaining. I limited myself to the anti-trade union workplace nature, the anti-trade union element of the course of conduct being perpetrated against me by numbers of cowardly, anonymous, faceless BT/CWU employees/members.

Absolutely nothing was done about the reported BT workplace abuse by either BT's management or CWU CC&TV branch officials.

I removed myself from BT's workplace on 11 Aug. 2011. The harassment, bullying and targeted victimisation still on going.

In January 2012 in the presence of myself and the CWU's head of legal services, a CWU CC&TV branch official was asked by a Solicitor... (who's legal services the CWU were using to tell me why the CWU were cutting and running from affording me legal representation at Tribunal.) ...What have the union (i.e. CWU CC&TV branch) done about it, what are you doing about it? 

That Solicitor received the reply: We're waiting for BT management... (sic). [To be clear. That is ...waiting... since March 2011...]

The Solicitor made no reply but simply looked at the CWU branch official then looked down at the papers in front of her.

Neither the branch official or the CWU head of legal services made any further comment. Neither did I. The Solicitor then returned her attention to asking questions of me and being given information by me.

The CWU legal rep present made only one comment throughout the hour or so the meeting lasted. At the conclusion of the meeting when the racist course of conduct, the bullying, harassing and victimisation course of conduct I was being subjected too was discussed for the final time, the CWU's legal reps contribution was: Yeah it's something that's in society, I suppose.

That is simply one little example of just how proactive the CWU TU is willing to be when it comes to honestly and openly addressing racism, racist bullying, harassment and the subsequent victimisation of an isolated single black CWU member within BT's workplace who is intolerant of racism and racist BT / CWU employees / members. A black man who paid the price for standing up and being counted within a white employer's workplace, within a white trade union's workplace.
